The Terms and Conditions are between “Global StartupCities initiative” on the one hand and the participants to join the #EiA - European innovation Area, and public events co-organized by Global StartupCities initiative on the other hand.

 

I. Main Points

In the interpretation and application of these General Terms, the used basic terms will have the following meanings:

1.1. Join the #EiA - European innovation Area: “Global StartupCities initiative”.

1.2. Participant: any individual or legal entity who has filled out the registration form for joining the #EiA that is displayed on the website Contact us.

 

II. Data Protection

In compliance with EU Regulation 216/679 General Data Protection Regulation and Organic Law 3/2018, on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights, the Global StartupCities (non-profit Association) informs you that the personal data obtained by joining the #EiA will be incorporated into a file for processing. Likewise, you are informed that the collection and treatment of such is intended to manage communications and participation in events and/or activities in the #EiA impulse by the Global StartupCities initiative. In accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Regulation, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability of your data, of limitation and opposition to its treatment, as well as not to be the subject of decisions based solely on the automated treatment of your data at the email address arturo.villar@globalstartupcities.eu

 

III. Copyright

3.1. The participants can receive pre-prepared materials, settled copyrights within the meaning of the “Law on Copyright and Related Rights”.

3.2. The participants have the right to share information over the social media, blogs, and media information related to the #EiA.

 

IV. Cookies

Cookies are short text files stored on a user’s device (such as a computer, tablet or phone) by a website. 

Cookies are used for the technical functioning of a website or for gathering statistics.

Cookies are also typically used to provide a more personalised experience for a user for example, when an online service remembers your user profile without you having to login.

When you visit our website, we may collect some data on your browsing experience such as your IP address, when you visited and the website page you were redirected from.

This information is used to gather aggregated and anonymous statistics with a view to improving our services and to enhance your user experience.

When you visit our website, we will keep the browser history of your visit for a maximum of 13 months. This information will then be deleted.

The collection, aggregation and anonymising operations are performed under adequate security measures.

 

V. Social Media

We use social media to present our work through widely used and contemporary channels.

Our use of social media is highlighted on this website. For instance, you can watch StartupCities videos, which we upload to YouTube pages from different StartupCities and follow links from our website to Twitter and LinkedIn.

Cookies are not set by our display of social media buttons to connect to those services when our website pages are loaded on your computer (or other devices) or from components from those services embedded in our web pages.

Each social media channel has their own policy on the way they process your personal data when you access their sites. For example, if you choose to watch one of our videos on YouTube, you will be asked for explicit consent to accept YouTube cookies; if you look at our Twitter activity on Twitter, you will be asked for explicit consent to accept Twitter cookies; the same applies for LinkedIn.
